Welcome to my Gilli Slater Textile pictures site
It has been a very busy Summer for me with lots of Art Fairs and Exhibitions. I have enjoyed meeting so many interesting people and sharing ideas.
I am taking bookings for this year's ARTYNOON TEAS. Christmas will be around the corner soon. Maybe you would like to book an Artynoon tea or workshop for the festive season. Visit the Artynoon Teas page for more info. I now have 2 options, either the full Artynoon experience with a hearty Afternoon tea with scones and cakes, or light Artynoon tea with tea and home made biscuits. You can choose what sort of art you would like to do, all utilising the beautiful qualities of Brusho dyes.

A little about my Technique
My sculpted textile pictures are inspired by the textures, light and colours of the Arnside and Silverdale landscape, especially the gnarled trees that seem to emerge from the rocks. I apply Brusho dye which bleeds into the crinkles of the fabric. I cannot predict what the fabric or dye will do as I encourage the picture to develop, making each of my pictures totally unique.
